The Get More NYC: Lower Manhattan campaign makes its debut on June 1 and it will be getting lots of attention in the international press. The purpose of the campaign is to demonstrate how Lower Manhattan has been thoroughly revitalized ten years after the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg announced the new initiative, saying that a crucial concern after the 9/11 terrorist attacks was that Lower Manhattan would turn into a ghost town. Ten years later it's clear that these concerns were overblown, as people from around the country and the world have contributed to the area's revival. The campaign will feature a selection of brand new tour itineraries for visitors to enjoy.
